“Location: Lovely location with lots of things to explore without having to drive. It takes 10minutes to get to the ferry that brings you to the other side of the river. From there one can explore the Bastei, Schwedenlöcher, Honigsteine and many more walks and hiking trails. The views are amazing! Rooms: We were in the tower room (Turmzimmer) and had a fantastic view of the Bastion Bridge (Basteibrücke) from our bed and bathroom. The room itself had a coffee machine with coffee pads, kettle and tea, comfy beds with a view and a bathroom. Everything was very clean and it felt welcoming - there was even a personalised note with information about the hotel and things to do. Breakfast: You can sit inside or outside with a lovely view. There is coffee and tea, juices, various breadrolls and bread and a variety of cheses and cold cuts. I am vegan and usually struggle to find something to eat when it comes to breakfast. I am not sure if it was because I mentioned it in our booking notes but I had some delicious savoury as well as sweet spreads to choose from and there was fresh fruit and veggies not to mention cornflakes and soy/oat milk. Dinner: Dinner was incredible! We asked if there was a chance of veganising a meal and without hesitation the chef gave us a list of things he could do for us - and then he conjured up a delicious home made 3-course vegan meal that hit all the right spots. I cannot recommend it enough! Staff: The staff was an absolute pleasure to be around. Always courteous and always finding ways to make the stay even more comfortable. Other: The sauna is very clean and towels are being provided. You can chose between steam sauna or a "normal" one. After every sauna session you can relax inside or outside on very comfy chairs and enjoy the silence of nature.”
